Family Forest Explorers

Forest Explorers is a class for children and their caregivers to attend together

In this class, caregivers deepen their understanding of child development, local ecology, natural gross motor development, reading a natural landscape and practicing risk assessment, inquiry-based learning, anti-bias education, and conscious caregiving practices, all in community supported by an experienced Forest School Teacher, with plenty of wild foraged snacks, and music!

the class

Forest Explorers is a weekly 2-hour class from 10 am - 12 noon on Fridays. Enrollment is per family, no matter how many children or caregivers may be present. Whether you are a backpacking pro, or haven't been to the woods in decades, we welcome you!

No one is turned away for lack of funds. Read more about our inclusive tuition model here, and please email us if you would like to join us and the cost is prohibitive for your family.

There is no lower or upper age limit for Family Forest Explorers, though most children are between 1.5 years and 4 years old.
